Pregnancy is a physiological phenomenon of 9 months when the baby is developing within a female body. During this 9-month period, a fertilized egg transforms into a baby. The course of pregnancy can be divided into three different stages such as: first trimester, second trimester and third trimester.
First Trimester: This stage covers the first three months of pregnancy. In this stage, the fertilized egg rapidly divides into layers of cells. These remain embedded in the hollow muscular organ of the pelvic cavity of the females. These layers of cells form an embryo. During this period, a woman experiences different issues such as tiredness, nausea, breast tenderness etc. In this stage, the baby develops at the fastest pace. After successful completion of 12 weeks, all the organs of the baby are formed. The baby looks like the small human body and is termed as a ‘fetus’.
Second Trimester: The second trimester of pregnancy covers 13 to 28 weeks. During this phase, the existing physical symptoms are replaced by some new symptoms. The baby keeps growing during this phase. For example- the abdomen of the fetus becomes enlarged and the brain keeps developing every single day. In this stage, mother starts realizing the essence of her motherhood and is able to develop bonding with the baby.
Third Trimester: This is the final stage. It covers week 29 to 40th week. The entire period of her pregnancy comes to its completion. This stage is very delicate as well as crucial. Consumption of calcium rich food could be beneficial for both mother and baby.
Dairy Product: During pregnancy, every mother needs to maintain a healthy diet. Protein and calcium are two essential substances for pregnant lady. Consumption of dairy products provides the flow higher amount of protein and calcium. Diary is the best source of calcium. Dairy products are rich source of calcium, magnesium, vitamin B etc.
